Desc.: Blogs in recent years have changed the way we interact, keep track of current events and so on. Often these very blogs are credited with the 'changing the voice of the people' or so it were. Marisa Olson and 'Abe Linkoln' have taken it upon themselves to further analyze and describe the art of blogging in this work.

Title: Screening Circle
Artist: Andy Deck
Desc.: Andy Deck's 'Screening Circle' in a way adapts the age old tradition of quilt making. Bringing it into the 21st century Deck has created a work in which users merely 'click' on a square (square varies in color). In doing so the user is presented with a myriad of other squares, each one containing a design of sorts. Each piece can - and usually is - made by one or several people, this is done in the center of this panel with is left blank. Whether or not it was Deck's initial intention remains to be seen, but for some this might inspire them to pick up a needle and thread and start sewing all their own.

Artist
: Marc Lafia and Fang-Yu Lin
Title: "Battle of Algiers" (2006)
Link: http://artport.whitney.org/commissions/battleofalgiers/algiers_v1.0.html
Desc.: Created by Marc Lafia and Fang-Yu Lin, "Battle of Algiers" takes a film classic (in this case the 1965 film directed by Gillo Pontecorvo). The plot of the film is as follows: an Algerian nationalist group is struggling to gain its independence from France in 1962. The artists constructing this piece have taken brief stills and video/audio clips from the same film and reconstituted them. The difference is that instead of adhereing to the narrative of the film, the images are combined in accordance to differeing rule sets. In this case cells represented by the French Authority and the Algerian Nationalists.

Artist
: Golan Levin (w/ Kamal Nigam, Jonathan Feinberg)
Title: "The Dumpster"
Link: http://artport.whitney.org/commissions/thedumpster/
Desc.: This unique project incorporates something we have all experienced at least once. The art of being dumped. Levin's supposed initial idea was to create a unique blog in which different users could describe their 'dumping' or how they may have had to do the dumping in the first place. The interactivity level of this project is what makes it stand out. For instance, if you click on the link posted above and then drag one of the 'floating circles' you're treated to what appears to be an entire conversation between users, of course describing how each of them were dumped.
